Preparatory sessions for the “National Scientific Research Day” at the FMS
In preparation for National Research Day, which will be held at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS) of the Lebanese University on 2 May 2026, the faculty has launched a series of research orientation and training sessions under the auspices of Dean Saada Alame and in coordination with the head of the quality department, Dr. Inaam Nasrallah Kteich.
These sessions were aimed at medical science students in their third to seventh years and resident doctors, and took place in several stages covering all student groups successively.
They were presented by Dr. Wafaa Takech Chamoun and Dr. Chadia Haddad, who supervised the training of participants and guided them on how to prepare research projects, write scientific posters, and present them in an academic and methodical manner.
This initiative aims to promote a culture of scientific research and develop the research skills of students and resident physicians, thereby contributing to improving the quality of scientific output within the faculty.
This initiative is supported and monitored by the faculty's quality assurance office, confirming FMS's commitment to developing research- and knowledge-based medical education, in line with the Lebanese University's vision of improving the quality of scientific research and establishing a culture of research as a fundamental pillar of modern medical education.
