The FMS hosted a workshop on Stress Management

The Student Counselling Committee at the Faculty of Medical Sciences organized a workshop entitled “Stress Management Through Physical Exercises” with the participation of students from the second to the fifth academic years.

The workshop was held under the patronage of the faculty Dean, Professor Saada Alame, under the supervision of Committee Chair, Dr. Abdallah Rahbani, and in coordination with the Head of the Quality Assurance Department, Dr. Inaam Nasrallah, in partnership with the Physical Therapy Department at the Faculty of Public Health. The session was delivered by Professor Ahmad Sarraj, who led an interactive activity addressing neck and lower back pain associated with prolonged sitting and academic stress.

The workshop was marked by strong engagement and hands-on practice, during which participants actively took part in exercises aimed at improving sitting posture, enhancing flexibility, and preventing musculoskeletal disorders. The session also raised awareness on the importance of physical health as key component of students’ psychological well-being throughout their academic journey.

This workshop is the first in a series to be organized by the Student Counselling Committee during the current academic year, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting the mental, physical, and social well-being of students at the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
