Project to raise awareness of international humanitarian law at the FLPAS – Branch 2
Students from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences - Branch 2 took part in the competition organized by the Lebanese Red Cross at 12 universities to raise awareness of the importance of international humanitarian law, with the support of Shöken Fund managed by the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
In front of a panel of expert judges, the students presented their project, an attractively designed “mock-up” inspired by the IFRC's international humanitarian insignia, which uses modern technology to display constant updates and information on international humanitarian law.
The ICRC has committed to funding the implementation of this project, which was supported by Dr. Caroline Youssef, professor of international humanitarian law at FDSPA - Branch 2.
The team of students was made up of: Ralph Elwak, Joel Mansour, Amal Majzoub, Joseph El Khoury, Joey Kachi, Marie Maouchi, Salam Maouchi, Nana Najiba El Makary, Aline Boulos, Christelle Francis, Fatima Suleiman, Jihad Haidar, Théodore El-Rai, Rania Zahr and Sarah Majdalani.
