Welcome to the Faculty of Medical Sciences - Lebanese University

As Lebanon's only official medical school, we have been a cornerstone of medical education, scientific research, and healthcare services since our founding in 1983.

Our faculty is dedicated to graduating highly skilled and ethical healthcare professionals, many of whom have been driving the development of Lebanon's medical sector for more than four decades.

Despite the crises and challenges that Lebanon and our institution have faced over the past five years (since 2019), the Lebanese University has remained ranked second in Lebanon in terms of excellence, according to the QS World University Rankings.

Our commitment to academic excellence is reinforced by our strategy for excellence in quality, which is reflected in our relentless pursuit of international accreditations. We are committed to aligning our faculty, programs, and facilities with international accreditation standards to improve the quality of medical training and ensure comprehensive, evidence-based education.

These efforts support our institutional credibility to make our graduates more competitive globally and to foster a culture of continuous evaluation and improvement. Our curriculum is designed to develop core medical competencies in modern healthcare, including medical expertise, communication, professionalism, leadership, lifelong learning, patient-centered care, and evidence-based practice.
