Response of FE on specialized master registration fees
The announcement of the Faculty of Engineering about the start of submitting applications for candidacy for registration in the specialized professional masters provoked misplaced reactions and conclusions, especially after determining the proposed fees, which will be paid exclusively in Lebanese pounds.
In view of the foregoing, the Lebanese University and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Rafik Younes, are interested in clarifying that there has been no amendment to the registration fees in the Faculty of Engineering or in any faculty or institute, because any change requires legal amendments.
As for the announced fees, they are exclusively for most of the specialized masters, including online control / elements of risk in civil engineering / renewable energy and others, which are majors pursued by engineers graduated (at least five years ago) from the Lebanese University and other universities / any master's study for one year after which the student obtains a specialization certificate, and the fees of which are paid in Lebanese pounds exclusively.
As for 5th year students, there is no change in fees, and they can register with the regular fees.
Noting that the specialized master's program is similar to paid professional courses that are usually organized in coordination between companies and universities, and this procedure can be included in the university's strategy to transform it into a productive university.
