Raoul Al Samarani, student of the Lebanese University crowned as the Middle East's winner of the “INFINITI Engineering Academy 2019”
Raoul Al Samarani, student of the Lebanese University - Faculty of Engineering (Branch 2 - Mechanical Engineering) was crowned as the Middle East's winner of the “INFINITI Engineering Academy 2019” organized at the Al Masaood INFINITI Showroom in Abu Dhabi on 12 December 2019.
Among +500 students from thirty Middle Eastern universities, a panel of judges from INFINITI, Renault F1® Team, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance and Harvard University selected Al Samarani who has the opportunity to work in London in 2020 where he will spend six months working at the Renault F1® Team’s Technical Center (Enstone) and six months at INFINITI’s European Technical Center (Cranfield).
The talented engineer reached the finals after a series of tests that included an IQ test, an engineering test, extensive interviews, a decision-making challenge designed by Harvard University, in addition to designing and controlling a vehicle.
Al Samarani says: “His studies at the Lebanese University gave him an advanced level of science in the basics of engineering,” which helped him to pass the tests of the international competition. He advised his fellow engineering students to participate in this competition because they all have the possibilities to win and work with the world's leading engineers in advanced car and racing sports industries.
