Joint dissertation between the Lebanese University and the University of Lille
The student, Samah Mechmchani Mouzawak, received the honorable mention with congratulations of the jury for her dissertation prepared between the Microbiology, Health and Environment Laboratory (LMSE) of the Doctoral School of Science & Technology and the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University and the INRAe laboratory of the University of Lille, entitled: "Barrier technology using microencapsulated destructuring enzymes and carvacrol to combat pathogenic bacteria bioflms".
Under the supervision of Prof. Monzer Hamze, Dr. Khaled El Omari, Prof. Noureddine Chehayeb, and Dr. Adam Gharslawi, Samah's dissertation focused on the use of new biological techniques to get rid of biological membranes (Biofilm) and thus harmful and/or pathogenic bacteria in the food and hospital sectors.
