Decision No. 843 creating the Office of University Affairs at the Lebanese University

Article 1

The Lebanese University - Central Administration establishes the “Office of University City Affairs” under the supervision of the Secretariat in accordance with Article 44 (h) of the Lebanese University Bylaws.

 

Article 2

The office manages the affairs of the university campus and liaises with the relevant authorities in the following areas:

  • Electricity, water and telephone services
  • Affairs relating to parking, gardening and internal transport
  • Maintenance, operation and caretaking, in coordination with the contracted company
  • Sports facilities, in coordination with the sports activities department
  • Student housing affairs in coordination with the Student Housing Management Supervisory Committee and the contracted company
  • Affairs relating to the Grand Theatre building and reception building
  • Coordination between the various faculties of the campus for all matters and common services
  • Coordination with the campus technical committee on technical matters entrusted thereto.

 

Article 3

The Office of University Housing Affairs is headed by at least a third-category member of the university administrative or technical staff, appointed by decision of the President, assisted by a staff of administrative and technical staff appointed by decision of the President, on the proposal of the Secretariat and after consultation with the head of the Joint Administrative Unit.

 

Article 4

The present decision will be communicated wherever necessary.
