
FFAA student designs stand out in the reconstruction of Majdal Selm Cultural and Social Complex
Projects by students from the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture – Branch 1 (3rd year architecture) won the competition to design a cultural and social complex in the southern town of Majdal Selm, which was destroyed by Israeli attacks.
Sixty-seven projects participated in the competition, and fifteen outstanding projects were judged. The results were as follows:
- First place: Mohammad Hijazi
- Second place: Fatima Al-Khatib
- Third place: Mohammad Bailoun and Asil Qassem
During a ceremony held at the Order of Engineers & Architects - Beirut, the winners were honored in the presence of academic, professional, municipal, and social figures.
The Director of the Faculty, Engineer Nawal Boudani, gave a speech in which she emphasized the importance of this architectural event, which comes as the culmination of cooperation between the faculty, the Municipality of Majdal Selm, the Union of Municipalities of Jabal Amel, the Lebanese University, and the Order of Engineers & Architects - Beirut.
Engineer Boudani pointed out that the faculty has always been at the forefront of initiatives that serve the community and meet its urban and developmental needs.
