Architectural webinar between the Lebanese University, Cairo University and the Iraqi Engineers Association
The Architectural Engineering Department of the Iraqi Engineers Association organized a webinar on 23 January 2021, entitled "How can a young architect turn his idea into reality?" with the participation of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 1) and the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University.
The webinar was moderated by architect Ahmed Salem, hosting Dr. Atef Mushaimish from the Lebanese University with his students Raghad Al-Atrash, Hoda Al-Husseini and Rami Awada, and architect Hamdi Al-Satouhi from Cairo University with his students Yasmine Rajab, Mahinar Safwat and Yahya Amro.
Dr. Mushaimish talked about the university role in the fields of higher education and multi-track scientific research and the importance of cultural knowledge that the student needs to realize the economic and environmental needs of society and hold responsibility for future development while preserving the eastern identity and urban heritage in our region.
Professor Mohammad Al-Hajj, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture at the Lebanese University and Secretary-General of the Society of Arab Universities Faculties of Arts, made an intervention in which he stressed the need to such meetings to approach our academic curricula and establish the components of an interactive architectural environment for teaching architecture in Arab universities.
