The Center for Restoration and Preservation of Monuments and Historical Sites was established at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture under Decree No. 11342 of 19 July 1997.
Since its establishment, the Center seeks to ensure that cities and human settlements are inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, based on the following objectives:
Prepare specialists capable of supervising the management of restoration and renovation work on historic monuments and sites;
Provide expertise and advisory services to authorities concerned with the conservation of historic monuments and sites;
Carry out integrated studies on the restoration and renovation of historic monuments and sites;
Raise awareness of the importance of urban heritage through the organization of seminars and the distribution of brochures.
The Center grants a Master’s degree in:
1. Restoration and conservation of historical monuments and sites;
2.Conservation and reinforcement of historical structures
