The Lebanese University graduates the first batch of students of the "GIL" program

After an 18-day training period, the first batch of students who participated in a number of projects in the “Generation Innovation Lab - GIL” program, graduated from the Lebanese University - Faculty of Science (Branch 5) on 24 January 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Fakih (Coordinator of the GIL Program in Nabatieh).

At the conclusion of the training period, student projects were subject to evaluation by a committee of specialists that studied the proposed ideas, while material support was provided to students to complete and follow their creative ideas until they turn into a product that can be marketed and exploited.

Pursuant to the agreement between the Lebanese University, the Ministry of Youth & Sports, and the UNICEF, in cooperation with the Center of Profession, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CENTREMINE) at the Lebanese University, orientation meetings and practical sessions were held at the university’s faculties (Hadath, Nabatieh, and Tripoli) to train students in entrepreneurship and digital skills and motivate them to create new ideas and turn them into projects (products or services).
