Agricultural Engineer Diploma – Plant Protection

The Faculty of Agronomy seeks to prepare qualified human resources to support sustainable agricultural development and preserve healthy ecosystems through scientific and applied research.

The Faculty contributes to rural development and community service through productive and on-field activities, to solve agricultural and environmental problems and monitor food safety.

Description

This program prepares agricultural engineers who are able to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector using scientific methods and technologies, to improve the quality and quantity of agricultural products while preserving biological diversity and respecting the environment.

It includes various educational programs in the most important pests and diseases caused on the plant by fungi, bacteria, viruses and insects.

The programs also include the study of weeds and pesticides (their uses, sediments and effects on humans and environment) and the management of pests and diseases in an integrated, biological and sustainable manner.

    245,000 LBP (Lebanese/Palestinian students) and 995,000 LBP (Non-Lebanese students) during the academic year.

Requirements

General conditions + special conditions

  • Succeed in the Competitive Entrance Exam (CEE) to the 1st year Agricultural Engineering;
  • The student who successfully completed the 3rd year (Plant Science and Technology) at the Lebanese University - Faculty of Agronomy, may pursue his/her major in this diploma;
  • The student who successfully completed the 3rd year in agricultural engineering faculties from outside the Lebanese University, may enroll for this diploma, within the applicable university conditions, and subject to a file study and an oral interview.
