The Faculty of Agronomy seeks to prepare qualified human resources to support sustainable agricultural development and preserve healthy ecosystems through scientific and applied research.
The Faculty contributes to rural development and community service through productive and on-field activities, to solve agricultural and environmental problems and monitor food safety.
In response to local and regional needs, this program qualifies the students to work in the fields of improving plant production by building their technical and practical capabilities, developing their skills and keeping pace with scientific progress. The students also acquire knowledge about plant breeding, horticulture, seed production, genetic improvement, agricultural biological diversity and the integrated management of fertilization and irrigation.
The curricula include theoretical and practical courses and training programs conducted in cooperation with the Agricultural Scientific Research Department, Ministry of Agriculture, NGOs, international projects and the private sector.
