Professional Master in Economic & Development Journalism

The Faculty of Information adopts curricula in line with the communication revolution and technological development worldwide. The curricula include media sciences, technology, general culture, languages, etc.

The research center at the Faculty includes a department for studies, research and documentation, and a center for media training.

Description

This program introduces media students to the theoretical and practical frameworks and levels of economic and developmental interventions, equip them with methodologies for developmental intervention, and the role of the media in promoting economic and development policies, and empower them to solve fundamental obstacles.

  • First year available in Branches 1 and 2
  • Second year available in the Deanship - Tayyouneh

    745,000 LBP (Lebanese/Palestinian students) and 1,745,000 LBP (Non-Lebanese students) during the academic year.

Requirements

General conditions + Special conditions

  • After completing the first year of joint (professional and research) master in journalism, students are entitled to register for the second year - professional master in economic and development journalism.
  • A Competitive Entrance Exam (CEE) is conducted, if the number of candidates exceeds the required number of students.
  • It is required to obtain a cumulative GPA for the bachelor courses of not less than 3/5 according to the grading scale adopted at the Lebanese University (or 12/20) according to what is currently approved.
