Born in Hadath Beirut, 1939

 

Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Law from the University of Limoges, France, in 1984;
  • PhD in Literature from Saint Joseph University of Beirut in 1984;
  • Studied law at Beirut University and graduated in 1964.

Professional Career

  • Dean of the Institute of Social Sciences of the Lebanese University between 1991-1993 and Chairman of the Administrative Organization Committee of the Lebanese University;
  • Lecturer of Law in a number of the faculties of the Lebanese University and the Military Academy;
  • Lecturer of Financial Legislation at the National Institute for Administration & Development (Civil Service Board);
  • Lecturer of Administration and Law in a number of Arab Gulf countries, director of the Executive Center for Development in Kuwait, and director of the Institute for Administrative Development in Bahrain;
  • Member of the French-Lebanese Joint Committee for Cultural & Scientific Cooperation (CEDRE) in 1998;
  • Headed the Arab Center for Administration & Development (ACAD);
  • Former member of the Bar Association and Press Syndicate in Lebanon;
  • Editor-in-chief of "Risala Al Tarbiya" magazine and "Lebanon Real Estate" magazine, and headed the office of the Bahraini "Akhbar Al Khaleej" newspaper in Beirut since its establishment in 1976;
  • Founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Cultural Association, Board of Trustees of the Lebanese Association for Rehabilitation and Development, and the Chouf Cultural Council;
  • Author of publications in several fields such as law, administrative sciences, poetry, literature, Arab heritage and Arabization;
  • Recipient of the National Order of the Cedar with the rank of Officer, and the French Commemorative Medal for Armed Humanitarian Operations;

 

Passed away in 18 December 2008.
