  • PhD in Geography & Planning from the University of Lyon 2, France in 1983;
  • Master of Advanced Studies in Third World Civilizations & Development from the University of Lyon 2, France in 1979;
  • Merit in Social Sciences from the Institute of Social Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1978;
  • Bachelor in Social Sciences from the Institute of Social Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1977.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration (Branch 4) at the Lebanese University between 1985-1986 and until 2018;
  • Director of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration (Branch 4) between 1997-2006;
  • Member of the Writing Committee and the Research Evaluation Committee in the Journal of Economic Sciences issued by the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration in 2015;
  • Member of the Committee for the Entrance Exams to the Master’s degree at the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration for several years;
  • Member of the New Curriculum Planning Committee at the Educational Center for Research & Development in 1996;
  • Member of the High School Curriculum Drafting Committee (Economics + Sociology) at the Educational Center for Research & Development in 1997;
  • Founding member of the Lebanese Economic Association and representative to the government in 2003;
  • Lecturer and supervisor of officer research at the Command and Staff College of the Lebanese Army since 2008;
  • Honorary member of the House of Wisdom Society - Baghdad in 2002;
  • Consultant in the economic feasibility study for projects;
  • Authentic member of the Association of Algerian Economists in 2005;
  • Participated in dozens of specialized conferences and symposia in Lebanon and abroad, and author of research papers and articles published in local and specialized Arab journals.
