Scientific Qualifications

PhD in Archeology from (EPHE) at Sorbonne University - Paris in 2002;
Diploma of Advanced Studies in ancient history, languages and civilizations from the University of Lyon - France in 1993;
CEAA in Architecture & Archeology from the University of Nancy - France in 1992;
Diploma in Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture at the Lebanese University in 1988.

Professional Career

Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture of the Lebanese University in 1997;
Head of the Graduate Studies Center specialized in the restoration and preservation of monuments and historical sites of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture between 2015-2022;
Head of the Architecture Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 2) between 2013-2015;
Former lecturer at Saint Joseph University of Beirut and the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik;
Member of the Executive Committee of the Association for Protecting Natural Sites and Old Buildings in Lebanon (APSAD) since 2016;
Member of the Executive Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites of Lebanon (ICOMOS) since 2018;
Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites of Lebanon (ICOMOS) since late 2021;
Worked in the management and implementation of several projects in Lebanon, including with the Directorate General of Antiquities (DGA) and the Council for Development and Reconstruction, and abroad in cooperation with the engineering office "Jean-François Lagneau";
Author of research papers and applied works in the fields of study and restoration of Islamic architecture, Mamluk Tripoli landmarks, houses of worship in Lebanon, and archaeological sites in the Bronze Decade.
