- PhD in Organic Chemistry from Claude Bernard University, France in 1975;
- Diploma of Advanced Studies in Organic Chemistry from Claude Bernard University, France in 1972;
- Master in Chemistry from the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Lebanese University in 1971;
- Master in Strategic Planning & Performance from the Higher Institute of Business - France/Lebanon in 2002;
- Diploma in Audit Management & Internal Audit according to International Quality Standards (ISO) in 2006.
Professional Career
- Founding Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in the branches of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy at the Lebanese University between 1984-1994;
- Director of the Faculty of Science (Branch 2) at the Lebanese University between 1978-1983;
- Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Science (Branch 2) between 1977-1984;
- Professor of Bioorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Medical Sciences between 1985-2011;
- Holder of the rank of Professor in 1985;
- Contributed to the development of educational bachelor curricula in the Faculty of Medical Sciences in its three branches and to their link to a number of European medical colleges and centers through cooperation agreements in education, scientific research and training;
- Contributed to the establishment of the first dental treatment center in Sin El Fil in 1987 and the second center in Ramlet El Bayda in 1988;
- During his tenure, the administration of the Coloquium examinations was transferred from the Ministry of Education to the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the Lebanese University (1991-1994);
- Head of the Educational Center for Research & Development between 1994-1999;
- Head of the work team for the restructuring of the Ministry of Education & Higher Education/Lebanon between 2007-2008;
- International Educational Consultant for UNESCO, UNICEF and the World Bank - Iraq between 2010-2018;
- Director of the Education Department at the UNESCO Office / Iraq between 2010-2011;
- Rapporteur of the Education Committee of the General Assembly of UNESCO / Paris (183 countries) in 1995;
- Contributed to the establishment of the regional office of the Francophone University Agency (AUF) in Beirut in 1992;
- Held +15 medical and pharmaceutical conferences with the participation of international professors and researchers;
- Author of research papers published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals on organic chemistry;
- Represented Lebanon in a number of Arab and international educational conferences, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Employment Corporation, the Board of Directors of Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and the National Committee for UNESCO;
- Recipient of the Academic Palme at the ranks of Officer and Commandor from the French government in 1995 and 1999, and the Legion of Honor in the rank of Knight from the French President in 2002.
