- Diploma in Advanced Studies in History from the University of Rennes - France in 1981;
- BA in History from the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1978;
- Teaching Degree from the Teachers’ House in Jounieh in 1967.
Professional Career
- Lecturer at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences of the Lebanese University in 1987;
- Director of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 3) between 1997-2003;
- Head of the History Department at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 3) between 1993-1996;
- Supervisor and rapporteur of PhD dissertations, diploma and master theses, including those related to the study and indexing of the records of Sharia courts in Tripoli;
- Participated in the preparation of historical and scientific conferences;
- Author of research papers on the Ottoman era in Lebanon and Syria.
