Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Mathematics from Joseph Fourier University - Grenoble in 1979;
  • Advanced Diploma in Pure Mathematics - Differential Geometry from Joseph Fourier University - Grenoble in 1976;
  • Merit in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science at the Lebanese University in 1975.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Science of the Lebanese University in 1979 until 2017;
  • Dean of the Faculty of Science between 2014-2017;
  • Director of the Faculty of Science (Branch 1) between 1988-1992;
  • Director of the Faculty of Science (Branch 5) between 1986-1988 and 1992-2000;
  • Director of Research at the Doctoral School of Science & Technology Lebanese University between 2017-2019;
  • Member of the Executive Committee of the League of Full-time Professors at the Lebanese University and responsible for international relations between 2010-2012;
  • Teaching Staff Delegate in the Lebanese University Council between 2000-2010;
  • Representative of the Lebanese University in the Cooperation Program for the Advancement of Scientific Research at the Lebanese University and Syrian Universities between 2005-2017;
  • Head of the Lebanese branch of the Arab School for Science & Technology in its three sides (Lebanon, Syria and Kuwait) between 2005-2017;
  • Coordinator of academic relations between the Lebanese University and Arab and Islamic universities between 2005-2011;
  • Representative of the Lebanese University in the Association of Arab Universities / Student Exchange Affairs between 1992-2011;
  • Member of the Executive Council of the International Conference of Presidents of Universities and Scientific and Technical Institutes in French (CIRUISEF) between 2014-2017;
  • Professor of Mathematics at the Military Academy - Fayadieh between 1990-1992;
  • Author of dozens of research papers, scientific publications and articles on the importance and value of public education in Lebanon;
  • Awarded the Academic Palme from the French government in recognition of his scientific and academic career.
