LU students Nada Al-Khansa and Salam Sayagha win two awards at the Oscars for Arab and African Creators
The students, Nada Al-Khansa and Salam Sayagha, from the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences, won first and second place in the “Short Story Category” at the Oscars for Arab and African Creators.
Nada Al-Khansa won first place for a story entitled “Rising with the Sun,” while student Salam Sayagha won second place for her work entitled “A Realistic Story.” Their works will be published at Dana Publishing and Distribution House and at the Cairo International Book Fair.
The Oscars bring together the countries of the League of Arab States and the countries of the African Union and are organized by the Lebanese Charitable Society for Educational and Cultural Renewal and the African Youth Parliament, in celebration of the Year of Arab Youth and Beirut, the Capital of Arab Media 2023.
