Faculty of Science - Branch 1 joins the Mediterranean Food System Promotion Project
The Faculty of Science - Branch 1 joined the Prima Project, a partnership between the University of Bari Aldo Moro, the University of Genoa, and the University of Almenastir/Tunisia to promote a sustainable Mediterranean food system.
A group of researchers from the ATAC Ramal Ramal Laboratory at the Faculty of Science (Branch 1) applied to the project with a Healthy Lunch-Box model that includes healthy ready-made meals containing local and sustainable plant-based ingredients such as Lebanese thyme, with a smart application (iMFood) integrated into the approved model that provides personalized guidance and facilitates participation in interactive questionnaires to support nutritional change
The research team of the Faculty of Science (Branch 1) worked under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Daher and included researchers Dr. Hala Khalifa and Dr. Rana Awada in collaboration with Lebanese University alumnus Dr. Mohammad Khalil in Italy.
