
Francophone cultural meeting at the FLHS - Branch 4
In an event organized in collaboration with the French Cultural Center, represented by Mrs. Noemie Knoerr, the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences – Branch 4 hosted two Lebanese writers who write in French, Carmen Boustani and Zeina Saleh Kayali.
The cultural meeting was attended by professors and students of the French Language & Literature Department at the FLHS, as well as around sixty students from schools in Zahle and the surrounding area.
The meeting was marked by interactive discussions that expressed the aspirations of the young Lebanese generation and touched on the contents of the novel, literary writing, and methods of expression in French, in addition to the role of the two writers in the fields of culture, literature, and music.
In conclusion, the Faculty Dean, Dr. Ilham Saliba, gave a speech in which she emphasized the role of Francophonie as a bridge for dialogue and cultural exchange, stressing the role of the Lebanese University in consolidating and promoting these values among its students.
