
Lecture on “Financial Technology” at the FEBA - Branch 6
The Department of Finance & Financial Institutions at the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration - Branch 6 organized a specialized lecture entitled “The Fintech: Take Control of the Future of Finance,” which addressed the latest developments in financial technology and its most prominent practical applications.
The meeting began with a speech by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Selim Mekdessi, in which he emphasized that this lecture is in line with the faculty's strategy aimed at linking academic programs with the latest technological and financial developments and preparing students to be able to face the challenges of the rapidly changing job market in light of digital transformations.
Dr. Mekdessi also stressed the importance of enhancing students' digital and cognitive skills to ensure that the faculty graduates are leaders in various economic sectors.
Branch Manager, Dr. Randa Zeidane Mhanna delivered a speech in which she pointed out that financial technology is no longer an option but a necessity for reshaping the global financial landscape.
Engineer Michel Maalouf delivered the lecture, reviewing the concept of financial technology and highlighting the most prominent applications of fintech, such as electronic payment solutions, digital wallets, crowdfunding platforms, and smart lending systems.
