
Swimming competitions kick off at the Olympic swimming pool in Hadath campus
Kicking off activities at the Olympic swimming pool at the Rafik Hariri University City sports complex in Hadath, trial swimming races were held, with a number of students from the Lebanese University participating in the 50-meter freestyle event.
Nagham Nakkour from the Faculty of Agronomy won the 50-meter freestyle, and Nour Fasad from the Faculty of Engineering - Branch 3 came in second.
Hadi Ayoub from the Faculty of Engineering - Branch 3 won first place in the 50-meter freestyle and came in third in the 50-meter butterfly.
Saeed Houmani from the Faculty of Medical Sciences won the 50 m butterfly, tying with Jad Jouny from the Faculty of Engineering – Branch 3. Houmani also came third in the 50 m freestyle behind Jawad Sarhan from the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration – Branch 1.
The event was organized by Saleh Zeaiter, sports activities coordinator for Branches 1, assisted by a number of coaches from the sports activities department, including Saad Samman, Mehdi Zeineddine, and Yazid Bou Khalil. The launch of the competition was attended by Dr. Tarek Assaf, advisor to the president of the Lebanese University for sports affairs.
