Born in Yahshoush, 1913
Scientific Qualifications
- Studied at the Jesuit School;
- PhD in Education and Philosophy from the Sorbonne University in Paris.
Professional Career
- Considered as a scientific and cultural reference after returning to Lebanon from France in 1946;
- Contributed to the establishment of the Lebanese University in 1951;
- Appointed President of the Lebanese University between 1951 and 1953;
- Appointed Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy when it was named “High Teachers Institute” in 1957;
- Developed an Arabic dictionary commissioned by the Larousse administration in 1972;
- Was a Corresponding Member of the General Committee of French Philosophers
- Has Books on the history of philosophy and life and developed valuable books, most notably the Arabic and Syriac translations of Aristotle and Al-Farabi philosophy - The Destiny of Man, in addition to translated books from the series "What do I know?"
- Participated in the establishment of the Keserwan Cultural Council and was appointed its President until his death.
Passed away in 1987.
