Scientific Qualifications

  • Teaching Bachelor's Degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the High Teachers Institution at the Lebanese University in 1956;
  • Certificate of Educational Competence for Secondary Education from the High Teachers Institution at the Lebanese University in 1957;
  • PhD in Islamic Studies from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1967.

Professional Career

  • Appointed Acting President of the Lebanese University between 1988 and 1990;
  • Appointed Dean of the Faculty of Information at the Lebanese University between 1985 and 1991;
  • Appointed Director of the Faculty of Letters & Human Resources (Branch 4) between 1980 and 1984;
  • Taught at the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Lebanese University between 1967 and 1980;
  • Taught in public and private schools and at all levels between 1951 and 1967.
  • Has a number of books on language, literature, history, and a number of articles, research and studies published in Lebanese and Arab newspapers and magazines.
  • Participated in local and international literary conferences.
