- Studied at the Makassed Schools in Saida;
- PhD in Law & Political Sciences from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1956.
Professional Career
- Appointed Acting President of the Lebanese University between 1992 and 1993;
- Appointed Dean of the Faculty of Information at the Lebanese University between 1981 and 1985;
- Appointed Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University and taught at the faculty since its establishment and until he retired in 1993;
- Elected in 1993 as member of the first constitutional council in Lebanon, and was its Vice President;
- Elected President of the Arab National Forum in 2002, and participated for five decades in establishing a number of cultural, patriotic and national bodies;
- Enriched the Library of Law and Political Sciences in Lebanon and the Arab World with a number of legal and political publications, including: The constitutional law and political system in Lebanon - the key constitutional and political systems in the world; The Public international law; International organization: theoretical, global, regional and specialized organizations; The International humanitarian judiciary.
- Was a member of the Arab National Conference, the International Arab Center for Communication and Solidarity, the Union of Arab Jurists, and the Arab Association for Political Science.
Passed away in May 2016.
