Scientific Qualifications
- PhD in Political Science from the Sorbonne University in France;
- Postgraduate Diploma in Political Science from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University;
- Postgraduate Diploma in Media Sciences from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University;
- Diploma in Journalism from the Press Institute in Cairo in 1959;
- Bachelor in Law from the Lebanese University.
Professional Career
- Dean of the Faculty of Information between 1977 and 1978 and between 1991 and 1993;
- Co-founder of the Lebanese University faculties (Branch 4) – Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, Institute of Social Affairs, in 1978;
- Researcher in the history of Lebanese journalism and professor of a generation of Lebanese and Arab journalists and media professionals;
- Served for a period as Secretary General of the International Catholic Union of the Press in Lebanon (UCIP);
- Founder of "Al Bilad" newspaper in Zahle in 1952, and Editor-in-chief of "Child Nursery" magazine between 1956 and 1970;
- Co-founder of the “Intellectual Association” in 1951, “Zahle Club” in 1957, and “Friends of Classical Music in Zahle” in 1960;
- Author of a number of articles and publication in media, politics and literature;
Passed away on 13 September 2020.
