Bachelor of Law from Saint Joseph University in Beirut in 1962.
Certificate of the Institute for Judicial Studies in 1964.
Diploma in Private Law and a Diploma in Public Law from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University.
PhD in Law from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University.

Professional Career

Appointed President of the Lebanese University between 1993 and 2000.
Appointed Minister of Finance in 1992 and Minister of Social Affairs between 2000 and 2004.
Professor of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences between 1978 and 2002.
Professor at the Institute of Judicial Studies between 1978 and 1992.
Appointed President of the Institute for Judicial Studies between 1984 and 1992.
Professor of Graduate Studies - Comparative Law course at Beirut Arab University in 1989 and 1990.
Judge between 1965 and 2004 and Chair of the Court of Private Banks in 1991 and 1992.
Member of the Constitutional Council between 2008 and 2010.
Author of books, publications, articles and lectures on legal, educational, media and social topics.
Represented Lebanon in several Arab and international conferences.

Passed away on February 3, 2010.
