  • PhD in Economics from the University of Paris II in 1993;
  • PhD in Economics - third cycle - from the University of Paris II in 1983;
  • Master of Advanced Studies in Development Economics from the University of Paris II in 1980;
  • Diploma in Finance from Saint Joseph University, Beirut in 1978;
  • Bachelor in Economics from Saint Joseph University, Beirut in 1976.

Professional Career

  • Dean of the Lebanese University – Faculty of Economics & Business Administration between 2013 and 2016;
  • Chairman of the Finance Committee and the Disciplinary Board of the Lebanese University Council between 2013 and 2016;
  • Member of the Scientific Council and Coordinator of the Research Master in International Economics - Doctoral School of Law, Political, Administrative & Economic Sciences at the Lebanese University between 2010 and 2014;
  • Member of the Monitoring and Evaluation Committees of Higher Education Institutions in Lebanon - Ministry of Education & Higher Education between 2011 and 2012;
  • Certified advisor and lecturer at the International Labor Organization, the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Beirut and the Labor Union, Lebanon between 1989 and 2003;
  • Member of the first Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and Rapporteur of the General Economic Issues Committee between 1999 and 2018;
  • President of the "Sustainable Development and Productivity Association" under Attestation No. 98 dated 21-01-2019;
  • Officer in charge of economic columns in several newspapers and magazines, including "Al-Bairaq", "La Revue du Liban", "Al Ousbouh Al Arabi", and chief administrator of the specialized economic "Public News Agency";
  • Author of several published research in economy and oil and participant in many scientific conferences between Beirut, Damascus, Cairo, Dubai, Sanaa, Tunisia, Paris, Geneva and Belgrade.
