  • PhD in Political Sciences from the Faculty of Law & Political Science at the University of Grenoble - France in 1972.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Political Sciences from the Faculty of Law & Political Science at the University of Grenoble - France in 1970.
  • BA in Political Sciences from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1968.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences in 1972 and holder of the rank of professor in 1988.
  • Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences between 1993-2001.
  • President of the Lebanese University between 2001-2006.
  • Member of the Ordinance Amendment Committee at the Lebanese University in 1984.
  • Member of the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences between 1975-1991.
  • Teaching Staff Delegate of the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences in the university council between 1974-1983.
  • Former lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Algiers.
  • Author of translated books and works on political and human rights issues in the Middle East, Europe and the world.
