Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Cinema & Theater Studies from Paris 8 University - France in 1985;
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Acting from the Institute of Fine Arts / Lebanese University in 1981;
  • Pursued mathematics, physics and chemistry courses for three years at the Faculty of Science / Lebanese University (before majoring in cinema and theater).

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 2) since 1996;
  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences;
  • Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture in 2014;
  • Head of the Acting Department and Department of Theatre, Film & Television at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 2) between 2001-2003 and 2005-2013;
  • Member of the Lebanese University Council between 2014-2019;
  • Government Commissioner in the Disciplinary Council of the Lebanese University between 2014-2016;
  • Head & Coordinator of the Research Team for Art Sciences at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences between 2012-2015;
  • Member of several committees between the Council of the Lebanese University, the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture, the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Higher Institute of Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences between 2002-2020;
  • Coordinator of the Art Education Department - Theater at the Faculty of Pedagogy between 1997-2001;
  • Head of the Examination Center at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 2) between 2007-2013;

  • Director and producer of hundreds of documentaries, and author of literature, research papers and books published in Arabic on performing and performing arts.
