  • PhD in Urban & Regional Planning from Paris-Sorbonne University in 1989;
  • Master of Advanced Studies in Planning and Engineering of Public Spaces and Green Spaces in Cities and Regions from the National School of Architecture of Versailles France in 1991;
  • Master of Advanced Studies in "Engineering and Organization of Arab Cities" from the National School of Architecture of Versailles France in 1986;
  • Master of Advanced Studies in "Application of Informatics in Engineering Studies and Urban Planning" from the National School of Architecture of Versailles France in 1986;
  • Master of Advanced Studies in "Geography of cities/residential communities in the Arab world" from Paris-Sorbonne University in 1985;
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture from the Institute of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University in 1983.

Professional Career

  • Lecturer at the Faculty of Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture of the Lebanese University in 1992;
  • Acting Dean of the Faculty of Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture of the Lebanese University as of 4 August 2021;
  • Rapporteur and supervisor of PhD dissertations at the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences and the Doctoral School of Science & Technology of the Lebanese University;
  • Architect affiliated with the Order of Engineers and Architects - Beirut since 1984;
  • Consultant to several European networks on sustainable development, strategic planning, smart cities, local governance, administrative decentralization and good governance;
  • Responsible for planning public spaces and green spaces in the "Beirut Downtown" project with Solidere between 1994 and 1997;
  • Member of the National Committee to draft the Administrative Decentralization Law between 2012 and 2014;
  • President of the Federation of Chouf Es Souayjani Municipalities Council between 2004 and 2016;
  • President of Municipality of Baakline (MBAA) Council between 2004 and 2016;
  • Author of research papers and participated in a number of local and international conferences.
