Born in Cairo, 1915

 

Scientific Qualifications

  • PhD in Philosophy/Personalist Philosophy from Paris Nanterre University in 1972.
  • Master and Bachelor in Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts in Grenoble - France.
  • Diploma in Piano Soloist from the German Conservatory (Bergrun).

Professional Career

  • Contributed to the founding of the Institute of Social Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1960, and Director between 1960-1962.
  • Lecturer of philosophy at the Lebanese University, the American University of Beirut (AUB), Saint Joseph University (USJ), and a number of French universities.
  • Appointed Associate Director of the UNESCO Center for Educational Design in the Arab States between 1961-1964.
  • Appointed Associate Director and Director of the Department of Philosophy at UNESCO - Paris for several years.
  • Organized UNESCO international conferences and participated in seminars in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
  • Visiting Professor four times to Laval University in Quebec/Canada.
  • Author of a collection of books.

 

Passed away in 2003.
