- PhD in Islamic philosophy from Saint Joseph University of Beirut in 1977;
- Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy from Saint Joseph University of Beirut in 1973;
- Teaching Bachelor in Philosophy from the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences at the Lebanese University in 1969.
Professional Career
- Lecturer at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 1) in 1978 and Head of the Department of Philosophy between 1993-1998;
- Dean of the Doctoral School of Literature, Humanities & Social Sciences between 2007-2010;
- Head of the Administrative Department at the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences between 1973-1978;
- Member of the Scientific Council at the Presidency of the Lebanese University between 1998-1999;
- Lecturer in Sufism and Islamic Philosophy at the Institute of Oriental Arts and the Faculty of Religious Sciences at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut and at the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies at the Makassed University in Beirut;
- Member of the Higher National Committee for UNESCO in Beirut between 1998-1999;
- Participated in the committee for developing the new curricula for the subject "Philosophy and Civilizations" of the Educational Center for Research & Development and in writing the textbook for the same subject in 1997;
- President of the Dandara Cultural Center and owner of the Dandara Foundation for Studies in Beirut;
- Member of the Administrative Board and Secretary of Arab Public Relations Affairs at the "Lebanese Philosophical Society" based in the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 1);
- Founding member of the Tasaloh Union - the Lebanese Association of Friendship and Islamic-Christian Dialogue;
- Received a number of local and international awards, most notably the "Turjuman" award in Spain in 2013 and the "Friend" award in Turkey in 2020;
- Author of dozens of books and publications in Arabic, French and English.
