Article 1

The text of Article 2 of Decree No. 307 of 4/1/1972 was repealed and replaced with the following text:

A candidate for appointment at the rank of assistant professor in the staff of the Faculty of Law, Political and Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University shall:

Hold a PhD degree.
Practice higher education for at least two years after obtaining the aforementioned degree.

Article 2

The text of Article 3 of Decree No. 307 of 4/1/1972 was repealed and replaced with the following text:

A candidate for appointment at the rank of teaching assistant in the staff of the Faculty of Law, Political and Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University shall hold a PhD degree.

Article 3

Candidates for full-time employment at the Faculty of Law, Political and Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University are subject to the basic conditions for the appointment of teaching staff.

Article 4

The doctoral degree required for appointment or promotion, for any rank of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Law, Political and Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University, is a first-class PhD whose level is not less than the level of the PhD degree issued by the said faculty or the level of the state doctorate issued by French universities.

Article 5

This decree shall be published and communicated where needed.
