Institute of Social Sciences cell begins displacement management plan at counseling and psychosocial guidance level
The Institute of Social Sciences formed a cell to contribute to the management of displacement proposed by the Director of Branch 1, Dr. Ali Zaiter, and approved by the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Marlene Haidar, after it was approved by President Bassam Badran.
In addition to Dr. Zaiter and Dean Haidar, the cell included the coordinator of the psychosocial counseling and guidance specialization, Dr. Sahar Hijazi, and a member of the department in Branch 1, Dr. Sahar Hammoud.
The cell formed a team of students and graduates of the Institute's psychosocial counseling and guidance specialization to provide psychosocial support services to displaced families in the branches of the Lebanese University's faculties and institutes.
The team started its plan by preparing group mentoring programs for women, interactive programs for children, and a guide for individual interviews (case study).
