Launch of the 10th annual robotics championship (ARC)
The organizing committee of the Annual Robotics Championship (ARC) launched the 10th edition of the championship from the Faculty of Engineering, in a ceremony sponsored by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Nazih Moubayed, and attended by directors of educational institutions, universities, associations, educational and scientific events, a host of people interested in robotics and members of the championship's organizing committee.
Dean Moubayed delivered a speech in which he praised the university's role in adopting scientific and technological events that support Lebanese youth and strengthen its resilience, expressing the Lebanese University's pride in sponsoring and adopting the tournament.
During the ceremony, a seminar was held on the theme of “Artificial intelligence, its effects and prospects in the fight against the effects of war”, presented by the President of the Lebanese Creators Association and technology expert, Dr. Jamal Meselmani.
Engineer Ali Ghanawi also spoke about the new season's categories and the conditions for participation this year.
It is worth mentioning that the Annual Robotics Championship (ARC) is a scientific and technological event organized since 2015 and overseen by an organizing committee including representatives from:
- Lebanese University
- The Municipality of Haret Hreik
- The Lebanese Teachers' Association (Beirut region)
- Kalimat Association
The tournament is sponsored by the Ministry of Education & Higher Education and comprises seven robotics competitions, from kindergarten to university level, involving schools, universities, clubs and training centers.
The championship is scheduled to take place on 26 April 2025 on the campus of the Lebanese University.
