The Lebanese University participates with the French Cultural Center in Lebanon and the Francophone University Agency in celebrating the French Teachers' Day
On the occasion of the French Teachers' Day, the Office of Language Coordination at the Lebanese University participated with the French Cultural Center in Lebanon represented by Mrs. Rachida Douma and the Francophone University Agency (AUF) represented by Mrs. Mirande Khalaf, to organize a conference via ZOOM entitled “New Links & Practices: Projects for Tomorrow” on 26 November 2020.
With the participation of more than 60 professors and a large group of students, Dr. Maha Jarjour, General Coordinator of Office of Language Coordination, stressed the importance of cooperation with the French Cultural Center in Lebanon and the AUF to form a better society and world.
Mrs. Douma raised many problems and questions related to the digital revolution and modern methods of teaching the French language.
Ms. Khalaf congratulated the professors and valued their ability to face the crisis that occurred in 2020 with the coronavirus outbreak, by engaging in the e-learning process. She indicated that the AUF will put at the disposal of its member universities, including the Lebanese University, projects and programs to support initiatives that promote the key Francophone values.
