- Bachelor of Law from Saint Joseph University in Beirut in 1962;
- Certificate of the Institute for Judicial Studies in 1964;
- Diploma in Private Law and a Diploma in Public Law from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University;
- PhD in Law from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences at the Lebanese University.
Professional Career
- Appointed President of the Lebanese University between 1993 and 2000;
- Appointed Minister of Finance in 1992 and Minister of Social Affairs between 2000 and 2004;
- Professor of Civil Law at the Lebanese University -Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences between 1978 and 2002;
- Professor at the Institute of Judicial Studies between 1978 and 1992;
- Appointed President of the Institute for Judicial Studies between 1984 and 1992;
- Professor of Graduate Studies - Comparative Law course at Beirut Arab University in 1989 and 1990;
- Judge from 1965 until 2004, and Chair of the Court of Private Banks in 1991 and 1992, and a member of the Constitutional Council between 2008 and 2010;
- Has a number of books, publications, articles and lectures on legal, educational, media and social topics.
- Represented Lebanon in several Arab and international conferences.
Passed away on February 3, 2010.
