
Opening of the "Library of Italy" at the Center for Languages & Translation
The Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Nicoletta Bombardiere, inaugurated the opening of the "Library of Italy", offered by the Italian Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs to the Center for Languages & Translation (CLT), affiliated to the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences on 9 June 2021.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Professor Ahmad Rabah, Dean of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences and representative of President Fouad Ayoub, Dr. Rabih Machaalani, Director of the CLT, Dr. Monica Zecca, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Dr. Caterina Carlini, Coordinator of Italian Language at CLT, Dr. Gisèle Riachi, and a group of professors and students.
The library contains about 550 volumes on the subjects of literature, history, geography, archaeology and various arts, in addition to 34 DVDs of masterpieces of Italian cinema and some cultural works by classical and contemporary Italian authors.
