Centre MINE organized a series of training workshops on accounting and social security services
Centre MINE organized a series of training workshops for students of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration (Branch 3), in cooperation with the association "Khayr Wa Baraka", and with the support of the Dutch NGO "Spark", the Lebanese Programmers Association (LPA) and the Economic Development Council.
The program includes intensive training for undergraduate and graduate students organized on two levels:
- “Skill-up”: Students attend lectures and workshops in 15 weekly sessions, after which they are selected for the next level.
- “Match-up”: Students who pass this level can benefit from internal training in the private sector, a potential promise of employment, in addition to follow-up by experts in computer science and business in order to successfully complete their entrepreneurial project.
The program started with a series of workshops on "Accounting", organized in February, and facilitated by Dr. Raëd Al Maraabi, a chartered accountant registered with the Lebanese courts.
In addition, workshops were held on the topics of social security, wages, lump sums, actual profits, and audit and collection tax.
It is noteworthy that the objective of Centre MINE is to stimulate entrepreneurship among students, develop their innovation capacities, and achieve SDGs. Thus, this workshop contributes to ensuring quality education, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, and decent work for all.
