Centre MINE organized a webinar on "Recycling in Lebanon"
In cooperation with “Makesense” and “Gil South”, Centre MINE organized on 1 June 2021, a webinar entitled "Recycling in Lebanon", moderated by trainer Maya Wakim, with the participation of students from different faculties of the Lebanese University.
The webinar focused on enumerating the causes of waste accumulation in Lebanon and how to reduce this problem in the most effective way, highlighting the role of entrepreneurship in this field. It also highlighted the problem of mismanagement of the waste crisis, including burning waste and throwing it in the sea, which leads to air and water pollution. The webinar concluded by discussing the possible steps that can be taken to reduce waste accumulation at the personal level and at the level of entrepreneurship projects.
It is noteworthy that the objective of Centre MINE is to stimulate entrepreneurial spirit among students, develop their innovation capacities, and participate in the achievement of SDGs. Thus, this webinar contributes to serving the goals of eradicating poverty and hunger, ensuring a healthy and safe life, quality education, promoting economic growth and decent work, encouraging industry and innovation, building sustainable local communities, and ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns.
