A cultural initiative by Dr. Bilal Abdel Hadi from the Lebanese University
In an individual initiative, the Head of the Department of Arabic Language & Literature at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 3) at the Lebanese University, Dr. Bilal Abdel Hadi, launched a distinctive cultural idea entitled "Take what want" (Estahli w Khod) aimed at encouraging citizens to read.
From his library containing more than ten thousand books, Dr. Abdel Hadi offered a set of books and placed them in a restaurant inherited from his father in Tripoli, so that everyone who wish to read may take a book free of charge.
Dr. Abdel Hadi considers that such initiatives are capable of moving us to a better world, noting that his idea encouraged many of his friends to donate some of their books and put them in the restaurant that offers (10%) discount to university students.
