Minister Firas al-Abyad inspects the university Covid-19 test lab
Dr. Firas al-Abyad, Minister of Public Health, visited on 1 December 2021 the Covid-19 test lab at the Lebanese University. He was received by President Bassam Badran and the laboratory team.
Dr. al-Abyad toured the laboratory departments, and was briefed by the President on its equipment, work progress and the process for issuing results, and the lab requirements.
Dr. al-Abyad praised the efforts of the Lebanese University in its Covid-19 response, expressing its support and confidence in the laboratory as a state-accredited center for PCR tests and epidemiological surveillance, stressing the importance of cooperation and integration between the Ministry and the university in various scientific and health fields.
