Student Jeanne d'Arc Tawk at the top of Lebanon's deepest ski slope

Jeanne d'Arc Tawk made her name in the field of depth skiing in Lebanon. The student, who is studying at the Faculty of Pedagogy - Branch 2, majoring in Physical Education, has been winning successive victories in the Lebanese championship since the age of eleven.

On 14-15 March 2025, the Lebanese Ski & Biathlon Federation organized the Lebanese Alpine Skiing Championship in Bsharri at an altitude of 2350 m. Tawk overcame the difficulties of the uphill and downhill course and the poor snow quality due to the high temperatures and repeated the victory in the 1.5 km Sprint race and retained the title for the second consecutive season, while achieving great results in the Endurance race (5 km).

A member of the Kannoubine Sports Club, Tawk has previously won titles for the Lebanese University at the University Championships and has represented Lebanon on several occasions abroad, most recently at the World Championships (1.5km and 7.5km) in Norway, where she improved her rankings and times compared to previous rounds.

Tawk is looking to qualify for the 25th Winter Olympic Games, scheduled to take place in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy) in February 2026.
