Scientific Qualifications
- PhD in Comparative Literature from the Sorbonne University, Paris in 1980;
- BA and Merit in French Language & Literature from the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Lebanese University.
Professional Career
- Lecturer at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 3) of the Lebanese University from 1980 until 2015;
- Director of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 3) between 1993-1996 and 2011-2015;
- Teaching Staff Delegate at the university council in 1998, 2003, 2004 and 2005;
- Former lecturer at Balamand University between 1988-1993;
- Member of the Lebanese Writers Union and the Cultural Council of North Lebanon and Public Relations Officer in the Administrative Board of Arab Translators Union;
- Editor-in-chief of the "Manarat Thaqafiya" magazine for academic research in the humanities and social sciences, issued in 2016 in Arabic, French and English;
- Author of several book and research and studies published in specialized journals;
- Translated a number of books, studies and theatrical works, and participated in literary and cultural conferences in Lebanon and worldwide;
- Winner of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding in Doha in 2017.
