Welcome to our page
The Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture provides quality education in all its specializations: applied arts, plastic arts, architecture, etc. The Faculty supports student artwork production in line with urban and cinematic developments and local and international plastic movements, and cooperates with several Arab and international institutions.
The arts play an important educational, social and cultural role and constitute one of the "involuntary" or "indirect" elements of education that have accompanied human societies, until today, as a means of communication and dialogue, transcending the borders of the languages spoken by different nations.
The fields of arts are considered complementary to those of family, education and philosophical, political and planning teachings, as they serve to form the conscience of the human being on the major issues related to his life, his nation and humanity.
Based on this pioneering role, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture (formerly an institute) of the Lebanese University was founded in the mid-1960s, to become one of the basic structures of the university.
For more than half a century, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture has maintained a leading position in terms of the level of its graduates and its educational offerings, particularly in the fields of architecture, interior design and visual arts.
The role played by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture gives us a double responsibility and motivates us, more than ever, to defy the difficulties and overcome the crises that afflict the university and the country, by insisting on face-to-face teaching, guaranteeing the rights of teachers, developing curricula to keep up with global developments, improving the logistical and psychological conditions of teaching, and meeting the needs of the administrative staff, as a partner in success.
By applying all these efforts, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture will remain one of the best creative and artistic centers in Lebanon and the Arab region, and the Lebanese University a pioneer in university education. Together, we will help make Lebanon a cultural and artistic landmark and stimulate change through art.
